How to Copy a Course

This video will walk you through the process of copying a course.


Below are step-by-step instructions for copying a course.

  1. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. BE SURE YOU ARE IN A BLANK COURSE.

    In that course, click on Course Tools.
  1. Choose Course Management from the dropdown list.
  1. Choose Import / Export / Copy Components.
  1. Click the radio button next to Copy Components from another Org Unit. Then click the Search for offering button.
    1. IMPORTANT: Be sure you are IN a blank class and you are searching for the course you want to copy >FROM.
    1. Find the course you want to copy from in the list. Click the radio button to the left of the course name.
    1. Scroll down the screen and choose Add Selected.

    6. Click on Copy Course Components History…

    Click on Copy Course Components History…
    1. Verify that you have chosen the correct file from the list.
    1. Click the Copy All Components at the bottom of the screen.
    1. Once the copy is completed, you will see the Copy Completed message shown below..
    1. Click the Lessons link.
    1. You will be able to see the new content on this screen.
